Job Title: QA Engineer

Department: Engineering

Working Arrangement: On-site (BSD)

Information about the role:

As a QA Engineer, the goal is to safeguard product quality by designing, executing, and automating tests that catch defects before they reach customers. This involves collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and designers to define quality standards, build reliable test coverage, and continuously improve the release process to ensure stable, high-performing, and user-friendly software.

Key Responsibility

  • Designing, writing, and executing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts across web, mobile, and API layers, based on product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Building and maintaining automated test suites (functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate and stabilize release cycles.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and priority, then verifying fixes through structured regression testing.
  • Performing functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing to validate that the product meets reliability, scalability, and usability standards.
  • Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle to clarify requirements, review designs, and embed quality early (shift-left).
  • Defining, monitoring, and reporting quality metrics to the engineering and leadership teams, and championing continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and tooling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in software quality assurance or test engineering.
  • Can join immediately preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) and at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile / Scrum practices.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured), bug-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • English fluency, excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.).
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the drive to continuously learn and improve.
  • Detail-minded, analytical, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership over product quality.
  • Ready to work in an agile environment with flexibility and willingness to take up assigned duties.
