Job Title: Procurement / Merchandising Officer

Department: Client Relation & Project Management

Information About The Role

As a Procurement / Merchandising Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of all merchandising processes, from managing product data and launching catalogs to overseeing rewards redemption. This position requires strong attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and effective communication to ensure every step of the product cycle is accurate and on schedule, while also serving as a crucial link between the merchandising team and various stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle procurement cycle from strategic sourcing, vendor selection, operational execution, and regular supplier performance reviews.
  • Conduct negotiations with local and global vendors regarding pricing, lead times, and operational contract terms.
  • Continuously assess supplier performance, manage vendor agreement, and build strong, long-term relationships to secure reliable supply chains.
  • Track key procurement metrics, analyze market trends, and perform cost-comparison analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage accurate data entry and system updates, ensuring all product information; including pricing, descriptions, and images, is consistently maintained and verified for catalog launches.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure execution deliveries, and seamless operational flow.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of proven experience in a sourcing, procurement, or buyer role, demonstrating a track record of successful vendor management and cost optimization.
  • Proven ability to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining healthy, long-term supplier relationships.
  • Highly proficient in data analysis using Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) to build cost-saving reports and track procurement KPIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset; able to work independently and make strategic decisions under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
